Angela Cook Named Grand Prize Winner in the LifeStyle Homes Energy Saving Idea Contest

April 6, 2010: LifeStyle Homes is pleased to announce that Angela Cook, of Titusville, has been named the Grand Prize Winner in the recently-concluded Energy Saving Idea Contest, conducted on the company's Internet Blog www.blog.buildingalifestyle.com. "This contest has been a lot of fun for us," said Jake Luhn, Manager of Marketing and Sales for LifeStyle Homes, "and we are indeed pleased to award the Grand Prize of $250 to Ms. Cook". "We had lots of great ideas that came from all over," Luhn added," and we want to thank everyone who participated."
The idea of the contest was was to stimulate thinking about good ways to conserve energy around the house and save money as a result. "It was a new experience for us, doing something like this on our blog," Luhn added. "Since we are so involved in developing our SunSmart energy conservation effort, it was a natural for us to get everyone thinking about to save energy in their own homes. We received ideas ranging from checking your dishwasher's filter (Did you know your dishwasher has a filter?) all the way to crawling around in your attic sealing up leaks in your ducts."
So, what was Ms. Cook's prize winning idea? She bought a LifeStyle Home. Really. Pretty cool, huh?

LifeStyle Homes Announces "HOW ARE YOU SAVING ENERGY?" BEST IDEA CONTEST
THIS CONTEST HAS BEEN COMPLETED and produced a really happy winner (see above)
Lifestyle Homes is happy to introduce the How are You Saving Energy Contest where one lucky participant will receive a $250 check towards paying their energy bills!
As a leader in smart and efficient building, Lifestyle Homes believes in sharing information and bright ideas that could help better our future. That’s really the root of this contest, sharing tips and information on how to conserve energy and be more environmentally-conscious. Our exclusive SunSmart℠ Home, for example, is all about making a difference in the lives of our homeowners and doing good for the community. Together, we can share ideas and learn from each other!
How to enter:
- We will be posting 4 blogs, 1 per week for 4 weeks, sharing some great Energy Saving and Green Tips
- Visit blog.buildingalifestyle.com and look for our weekly contest blog entry
- Post your idea on How to Save Energy underneath that week’s post
- Make sure to include a valid E-mail address in the comment form so we can contact you if you are the winner
- Also, in your post, please use this format:
"Lauren, Ft. Myers, FL – (Comment)"
- Lifestyle Homes will select one winner from the participants and they will receive a complimentary $25 Gift Card to Home Depot
- All winners will be at the sole discretion of Lifestyle Homes and will be selected based on creativity and the quality of the comment
- At the end of the 4 weeks, Lifestyle Homes will review all of the entries and select a Grand Prize Winner who will receive the $250 check
- Participants can choose to enter multiple times, every week the contest is going on if you’d like
- The Grand Prize Winner will be asked to send in a photo of themselves so we can feature them on the blog
You do not have to be a Fan of the Lifestyle Homes Facebook page to participate. The contest is void where prohibited and subject to change without notice. If the Grand Prize Winner is local (Within Brevard County), they may be asked to attend a check presentation event.
